The purpose of New Day Art Studio is to remind all of us that each day is a new day to start over and create the life you want while bringing an overlooked creative medium back into the main stream through art of the animals we all love!New Day Art Studio was started in July of 2020 after Lacon picked up the art of embroidery in the early months of that year. She quickly became obsessed with using thread to create art and gifts for friends and family. Lacon has always loved anything and everything creative but it wasn’t until they picked up a needle, thread, and hoops did she find their creativity blossoming into a burning desire to bring the same joy she felt while creating to others through an Etsy shop that allows for others to experience the joy of embroidery as well.If you can’t tell Lacon’s favorite thing to embroider are animals because the world would be so dull without animals. Lacon does not have to go far to experience the animal world and gather inspiration for their art. Because she shares her home with a partner and 6 four legged muses: 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 rabbit and 1 bearded dragon. While all her pets are wonderful Tad Cooper the bearded dragon has a keen eye for art so he has happily taken over the job of art critic and quality control so we can provide the very best art in the shop
Lacon - Embroidery Artist
(Lay-Kin) Embroidery artist and animal enthusiast who is just trying to live their best life while creating art that can bring smiles to people's faces. When Lacon is not creating art they are usually: reading, writing, or playing video games, and watching Disney movies
Tad Cooper - Art Critic and Quality Control
Tad Cooper is a 5 year old bearded dragon. He is the mascot for this whole shop and a very tough art critic, his loving face keeps Lacon going! He is very sassy, loves windows, and hates baths.
